Luangwa Valley - Flatdogs Camp 3 nights

Spend 3 nights in the South Luangwa National Park at Flatdogs Camp

Located in the Mfuwe area, just outside the gates into South Luangwa National Park.  Set in a riparian woodland habitat, the camp is kept as natural as possible and offers guests a great range of accommodation; the cool and spacious chalet rooms made of stone & thatch, which are ideal for families and the exciting en-suite safari tents with river views and hippo serenades!

Some of the best-trained professional safari guides in the Luangwa will lead you on safari, sharing with you their wide range of interests from animals, plants and insects to the local traditions and conservation in the area.

Flatdogs aims to provide each guest with the safari of his or her dreams – whether this is spending every second exploring the national park, learning more about the warm and friendly people of Zambia, or relaxing in camp watching the elephant cross the river at sunset…

Day 1
Depart from Lusaka International Airport on a flight to Mfuwe. Met and transferred to Mfuwe Lodge for 3 nights accommodation with all meals, select drinks, game viewing activities and park fees included.
Days 2 & 3

Day 4

Experts have dubbed South Luangwa to be one of the greatest wildlife sanctuaries in the world, and not without reason. The concentration of animals around the Luangwa River, and its oxbow lagoons, is among the most intense in Africa. The Park hosts a wide variety of wildlife, birds and vegetation. The now famous ‘walking safari’ originated in this Park and is still one of the finest ways to experience Africa’s pristine wilderness first-hand. The changing seasons add to the Park’s richness, ranging from; dry, bare bushveld in the winter, to a lush, green wonderland in the summer months.

  • Each year at Mfuwe Lodge we have some very special guests that pay us a visit. Whole families of elephants have been regular guests at the lodge for a number of years, visiting between late October and mid-December to feast on the fallen fruits from the large Wild Mango tree in the lodge grounds.
